How We Work

Network

Through Investment International Group’s network, portfolio companies are offered resources and expertise in legal matters, international business, management, marketing communication, medical technology, biotechnology, IT, and telecommunications. The network also plays a key role when Investment International Group evaluates various investments, establishes connections, and gathers knowledge. Individuals and companies in the network are regularly consulted on various topics related to the development of portfolio companies, such as recruiting key personnel.

Furthermore, Investment International Group has access to the industry expertise of its portfolio companies. Several individuals active in those companies are leading figures in their fields and support Investment International Group in various matters.

Business idea

The business strategy of Investment International Group is to invest knowledge and capital in companies with significant development opportunities. Each company should have great growth potential and good prerequisites for becoming a leading niche player. Investment International Group’s primary investment area is life sciences. In addition, Investment International Group acquires profitable, mature companies in stable industries.

Strategies

Investment International Group’s primary investment focus is on companies in sectors with strong potential to develop into leading niche providers. However, this investment focus also carries a relatively high level of risk. To reduce risk, a financial strategy is applied that requires at least 50 percent of the company’s assets to be invested in liquid assets, companies, or profitable wholly owned subsidiaries.

Portfolio development

In recent years, Investment International Group has changed its investment focus and, accordingly, the portfolio has changed significantly. Investment International Group previously held many investments in various sectors, many of which were individually very small holdings. Since then, numerous holdings have been liquidated, and the portfolio now consists mostly of holdings in the life sciences sector.

The portfolio currently comprises a smaller number of companies, and individual holdings are generally around 30 percent. In line with the company’s new investment strategy, wholly owned profitable companies are now being acquired, providing more financial stability and lower risk.

Active ownership

The goals of Investment International Group are largely achieved through very active ownership. The company’s working style is characterized by strong commitment and daily involvement in the operational business of its portfolio companies.
